Following the success of the Ross Open Gardens events in 2015 and 2017 we are holding another one over the weekend of 22nd and 23rd June 2019.
We are delighted that this year’s event is sponsored by Ross Garden Store.
Twenty gardens will be open around the town.
The Open Gardens weekend is a wonderful time for the community of Ross-on-Wye to come together. You can enjoy the opportunity to visit gardens previously hidden behind hedges or walls, while helping to raise money to help keep the fabric of our ancient Parish Church in good condition.
If you would like to learn more about opening your garden please contact Peter Reynolds our Open Gardens organiser. If you have a friend in town with a beautiful garden, please suggest to them they might want to join in. However, if visiting gardens is more your forte, please put the date in your diary. Perhaps also invite your friends and relatives for the weekend so that they too can share the pleasure.
What people say …
We thought all the gardens were a delight and well done to the owners for all their hard work! We hope this could become a regular event as most people we met on the day thought the same and a good fundraiser too!
Thank you! Highly recommended! Lunch in church hall, Pimms at No. 14 and cream tea in Merrivale Crescent. All the gardens are amazing.
We really enjoyed visiting some very beautiful gardens. We managed 7. What a well-run and enjoyable occasion. Well done everyone.
Just wanted to say the open gardens we viewed today were something else, such lovely owners, meeting and greeting people into their gardens. We only managed four today, looking forward to doing more tomorrow.
This was an amazing day out, very well organised and some truly inspirational gardens. Thank you to everyone that took part. Hope it’s on again next year!
Such a great event! Lovely of all of the garden owners to let us all see in!
